Getting to Know Ms. Cappadona
Getting to know your principal The month of October has been declared “National Principals’ Month” and is dedicated to recognizing the significant contributions of our nation’s principals and the enthusiasm they have for providing quality educational experiences and guidance to their students. Here in Glen Rock we see this as a great opportunity for our families to get to know a little about our principals beyond their administrative roles and responsibilities.

Guidance Counselor
Throughout the month of September, Ms. Pavese will be visiting all of the kindergarten through fifth grade classes delivering a Classroom Guidance Lesson, to educate students regarding her role as guidance counselor. During the kindergarten and first grade lesson, she will read a short story about a student that meets with his guidance counselor. The second through fifth grade lesson will include sharing with students a “Me Box” containing items that represent her role as guidance counselor. These age appropriate lessons will inform students that her role is to encourage and assist students in their social and academic development. Please discuss this with your child(ren) see what they learned and if they have any further questions regarding Ms. Pavese’s role. Should you or your child have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact Ms. Pavese at (pavesed@glenrocknj.org) anytime throughout our school year. Ms. Pavese will be joining us at our H.S.A. meeting November 19 at 2:00 in the Art Room.
