PAULA VALENTI SUPERINTENDENT OF SCHOOLS HIB INFORMATION (HARASSMENT, INTIMIDATION AND BULLYING) Parent Survey Coleman School 2011-12 Coleman School Announcements Field Day Update Due to the impending forecast for heavy rains through tomorrow, we have decided to postpone Field Day to Tuesday June 4. Please keep your Field Day water bottles handy until then. We will be sending out a reminder note for Field Day in advance. The June lunch order is due on Tuesday, May 28th. 5th Grade Fundraiser Coleman School Fifth graders in Mrs. Caffrey and Mrs. Wisz's classes played a Kickball Game to raise money for the Julia Anne Kirsch Foundation. The Foundation is dedicated to improving the lives of those with significant disabilities and their families. Thanks to the generosity of their family and friends, they raised $2500 and presented a check to the Kirsch family after the game. Kindergarten Orientation Kindergarten Orientation is Monday, June 3, 2013 at each of the elementary schools at 8:00AM. Families will receive a letter the end of May informing them of which elementary school their child will be attending September 2013. Parents will meet the kindergarten teacher, H.S.A. President and principal. Round Up is an opportunity for small groups of incoming kindergartners to meet in the kindergarten classrooms for intervals of 45 minutes. Children will participate in a host of activities giving them the opportunity to get to know the teacher and the classroom, and for the teacher to observe how each child interacts within this setting. Your child’s round up time will be indicated in the letter. Please note that you are welcome, but it is not mandatory for you or your child to attend either of these events. Families will receive another letter at the end of June informing them of which session their child will be attending.
