Field Day June 1
Congratulations to Coleman School’s Teacher of the Year, Mrs. Jennifer DiLoreto, who teaches ESL at Coleman and Central School!
Thanks to the generosity of our Coleman Community we raised $1755 for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Ms. Wessely’s fifth graders raised the most and won a Pasta Luncheon from The Olive Garden. Special thanks to Mrs. DiLoreto, Mrs. Zisa and our Student Council for organizing this fund raiser.
Mr. Edward Thompson has been appointed as the next principal of Coleman School

Kindergarten Orientation set for June 2 - Please save the date
Orientation for all children registered to enter Glen Rock Public Schools kindergarten in the fall of 2016 will be held on Thursday, June 2. From 8:30-9 a.m. all parents will meet with their respective principals and HSA leadership. Following that, four sessions are planned – from 9-9:45 a.m., 10-10:45 a.m., 1-1:45 p.m. and 2-2:45 p.m. – when children will meet with the kindergarten teachers. Families are asked to please plan ahead to attend these important introductory events.
Letters from the elementary principals will be sent to all registered families on or about Monday, May 16, noting the child’s school building and orientation session assignments. Any incoming kindergartner who is registered on or before June 1 will be included in orientation.
Families who register their child after that date will receive placement notification in mid- to late August. Registration packets for all students needing to register with the district may be downloaded from the district’s website at www.glenrocknj.org under the Parents/Students tab. Completed packets should be delivered to the Glen Rock Board of Education Office, located at the rear of the Glen Rock High School/Middle School campus.
A donation of $500 was presented by the Glen Rock Jaycees During Coleman School’s January H.S.A. general membership meeting. The donation provided Core Wobble Chairs for each classroom. Pictured are Jaycees /Coleman parents, Josh Bratspies and Russ Patane, with several H.S.A. members and school principal, who tested out the new chairs! The Jaycees graciously donated to every elementary school, as well as the Middle & High School!
