Christopher's Plaque
Christopher’s plaque was mounted near the swings. It looks even more special mounted for visitors and friends to see. Our fourth graders continue to take pride in what they have done to remember their friend. Their caring spirit continues to be an inspiration and a source of strength. Special thanks to our staff and parents who have supported them and their work this year.

HSA Raffle Results
Thanks to the generosity of our staff, money was raised for our H.S.A. during a recent raffle. Teachers played board games with students at lunchtime; 2 students were invited to be Physical Education “teachers” for the day, 5 students were Learning Center helpers and teachers and staff played Ms. Collins’ fifth grade class in a game of kickball. What an enjoyable way to exercise and build our school community while raising money!
Congratulations to Mr. Bazaz, Bergen Record's Teacher of the Week
In the words of Kevin T., former Coleman student, “Mr. Bazaz was one of my favorite teachers. He taught music to the whole school and made learning fun. Mr. Bazaz is so enthusiastic and caring about everyone.” Please refer to Sunday’s Bergen Record for the full article.
Coleman Helps the Polar Bears
The third grade classes at Coleman School coordinated a month-long coin drive to raise money to help polar bears. Together, the Coleman School community raised $907!!!! Quite an accomplishment!
5th Grade Compost Pile
The fifth grade classes have initiated a composting program. We have purchased and set up an “Earth Machine” outside the nurse’s room. Each fifth grade class will be collecting organic refuse from students’ lunches and newspapers as well as helping to get leaves, and if possible, dried grass to add to our earth machine. The students will be adding and mixing the material in the earth machine. They will also be adding water to help maintain moisture in it. Please feel free to take your class outside to take a peek in our composting bin.

The fifth graders are very excited about our new earth machine and ultimately utilizing the composted material in the outdoor gardens.

Congratulations Sara -- Co-Winner of WICS Spelling Bee!
